Esittely

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Vaasa, working at the intersection of cybersecurity, privacy, energy systems, and digital transformation. I have completed my PhD in Information Systems, with my research focusing on cyberprivacy and cybersecurity in the context of critical infrastructure and the energy sector. I am also a Project Expert in ROBOCOAST EDIH, where I contribute to activities supporting digitalisation, innovation, and collaboration between research and industry. My work particularly focuses on the protection and resilience of critical infrastructure, with an emphasis on the human, organisational, and socio-technical aspects of cybersecurity and privacy.

Since 2016, I have contributed to and managed research and development activities across more than ten projects, including REDISET, Vaasa IoT, S-Step, NTC, SESP, SIE, EUNICE, CC-RSG, and other national and international initiatives. My project work has mainly focused on two interconnected areas: developing skills, awareness, and education, and addressing cybersecurity, privacy, resilience, and digitalisation challenges in the energy sector.

My research interests include cybersecurity, cyberprivacy, critical infrastructure protection, energy systems, socio-technical security, digital transformation, research and innovation, and project management. I am particularly interested in connecting research with practical needs and translating research outcomes into approaches that can be applied by organisations and professionals.

I also have experience in university teaching and curriculum development. I have taught and developed teaching materials for courses including Introduction to Cyber Management, Management of Cybersecurity, Management of ICT-Functions, and Enterprise Architectures. I have also contributed to other courses and delivered guest lectures on cybersecurity and security in the energy sector.

I hold a B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering, an M.Sc. in Telecommunications Engineering, and an M.Eng. in Project Management.
