I currently spent my working time for researching renewable energy systems, wind turbine noise, in particular. We have developed distributed noise measurement stations for long term noise measurements and noise analysis algorithms to study the level and characteristics of wind turbine noise. The data is analyzed by constructing statistical models, of big amounts of data by means of machine learning algorithms, which are run in high performance computing cluster.
It is my responsibility to acquire funding for the research, manage research projects and contribute to the actual work, together with our partners. We have managed to establish and participate well functioning Finnish and Scandinavian research networks.
I have been working 12 years for research, including seven years experience in renewable energy research. In addition, I have ten years of experience working in telecommunications industry. I have published 17 peer reviewed research articles and 12 other scientific publications.
Specialties: During my career I have gained skills in the areas of renewable energy, embedded systems, telecommunications, digital signal and image processing, software engineering, software processes (especially agile methods), electronics, system design in VHDL, teaching, research, Linux, sales work and IT support. I have professionally programmed using 10 different programming languages.
