InnoLab

Innovation and entrepreneurship in society
InnoLab promotes a new way of doing science – encouraging the use of citizen science, open science, and design thinking. Its research is grounded in participation, creativity, low hierarchies, and an active civil society. The aim is to generate innovative and creative research that introduces new perspectives and approaches. The research platform draws on the University of Vaasa’s multidisciplinary expertise across all its strategic focus areas and works in close collaboration with businesses, the public sector, other universities, and research institutions. InnoLab places particular emphasis on dynamic cooperation with external partners and on communication that is engaging and accessible to diverse audiences. InnoLab’s goal is to strengthen the University of Vaasa’s societal engagement and support the impact of research – building bridges between science, decision-making, and practical action.
