Finnish higher education institutions are jointly responding to the declined language proficiency of students through shared online studies that are available at 25 institutions. The joint language studies sparked record levels of interest among students in the autumn of 2024 – languages of particular interest were Spanish, Japanese and Korean. During spring 2025, the offering will expand to span 13 languages.

The University of Vaasa has risen to the top among Finnish universities in business administration in the 2024 Global Ranking of Academic Subjects published by Shanghai Ranking. Ranked 22nd, the university is among the top universities in the world in business administration. In management, the university also made significant progress, moving from the top 500 to the top 300 in the world.

The University of Vaasa offers many opportunities for continuous learning in Spring 2025 for those interested in university studies or enhancing their skills. Applications for separate studies, alumni studies, FITech studies in engineering and SIMHE studies in languages will open in November. Please note that most continuous learning opportunities are targeted for people who live in Finland.
