How widespread are the impacts of STI policy in the society? are there groups that are not covered by the current policy measures? The first policy brief of the University of Vaasa's ELVIS project discusses about the concept of inclusive innovation policy and presents findings from the new comparative analysis. It also makes recommendations for developing inclusive innovation policy in Finland.

The Ministry of Education and Culture recommends that Finnish higher education institutions refrain from all cooperation with Russian and Belarusian partner organisations in higher education and science. Following the policies, the University of Vaasa will not initiate new projects and suspends existing cooperation between organisations for the time being.

Dr Denis Davydov, a university lecturer and researcher in Finance at the University of Vaasa, has studied how the sanctions imposed on or by Russia are affecting European companies. He warns that while companies have been able to adapt to the earlier wave of sanctions, the new tensions and potentially stricter sanctions against Russia could further stress businesses and cause additional pressure in some European countries.
