Top 18 in business administration

The University of Vaasa's ranking in business administration has risen to 18th place in the Global Ranking of Academic Subjects published by Shanghai Ranking in October. In the previous ranking, we were ranked among the top 200 universities in business administration. This year, the ranking evaluated more than 1,900 universities in 55 different disciplines.

– We are very happy about this great achievement and the significant increase compared to the previous year. I would also like to congratulate the whole university community as this result is an outcome of the hard and successful work of our colleagues. It also demonstrates that the University of Vaasa is a great place for research and education, says Martin Meyer, vice-rector of international affairs.

The Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) is a subject-specific global ranking that has been published by Shanghai Jiao Tong University since 2017. The ranking focuses on publication activity, ranking universities based on five key indicators: research output (Q1), research influence (CNCl), international collaboration (IC), research quality (Top), and international academic awards (Award). Altogether there are 55 subject-specific rankings across natural sciences, engineering, life sciences, medical sciences, and social sciences.
