South Ostrobothnia Regional Fund awarded grants to University of Vaasa PhD students
The South Ostrobothnia Regional Fund of the Finnish Cultural Foundation awarded grants to nine University of Vaasa PhD students.
Full-year grants 24 000 euros:

- M.Sc. Shah Rukh Shakeel
- FM Satu Rantakokko
- M.Sc. (Econ) Yassine Talaoui
1/2 year grant 12 000 euros:

M.Sc. Saleem ur Rahman
Director of Tritonia Anne Lehto and the working group were awarded 20 000 euros for moving Jaakko Numminen library to the University of Vaasa
The South Ostrobothnia Regional Fund of the Finnish Cultural Foundation awarded all together 1,1 million euros as grants to 93 applicants. Author Antti Tuuri received the Elias Lönnrot medal.
The Central Fund of the Finnish Cultural Foundation awarded earlier in February 2019 30 000 euros to Ph.D. Jamshed Iqbal. HTM Susanna Kujala, doctoral student in Regional Science received a full-year grant of 24 000 euros.
