During the Small Changes for Good Health week, focused on student well-being and held from 2 to 6 October 2023, our experts will talk about different ways to relieve and prevent stress symptoms. There will be several online events and one is even held in English. Read more about the week.

First-year student, please answer the HealthStart questionnaire!

If you started completing your first degree at an institution of higher education in the autumn semester 2023, you can now answer the HealthStart questionnaire on the Self online service. After completing the HealthStart questionnaire, you’ll receive feedback on your state of health and may be referred for health promotion services provided by the FSHS. Read more at FSHS website

The healthcare fee for students in higher education to Kela must be paid 30.9. at the latest

You are not billed for the fee but are expected to pay it unprompted. Up-to-date information connected to the fee can be found on Kela’s website.

Properly targeted help – FSHS provides mental health services at different levels

The FSHS has updated its student mental health services and the way they are accessed. As of autumn 2023, students will receive mental health support in accordance with their needs without needing to contact the FSHS several times. Read more at FHS website

The FSHS has made preparations for changes in Care Guarantee requirements

The time limits set for assessing the need for treatment and for providing access to care became tighter on 1 September 2023. The FSHS has been preparing for the new requirements by making changes to its service model and by providing more services digitally. The way assessments of the need for treatment work have been changed. Read more at FSHS website

Influenza vaccinations will start at FSHS in November

Health and welfare students in higher education, as well as students belonging to a risk group can receive their influenza vaccinations from the FSHS free of charge. Please note that it is not yet possible to book appointments for influenza vaccinations. Instructions for booking a vaccination appointment and additional information on the practical arrangements will be published during October. Unfortunately, we can’t answer questions about vaccinations in advance by phone. Read more about the vaccinations
