Stephen is a University Teacher at the University of Vaasa, Finland. He conducts research in the areas of Sustainable Development, Energy & Resource Economics. His research activities have covered various aspects of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) including SDG-1 & 2 of No poverty and Zero hunger, SDG 4 & 7 of quality education and clean & affordable energy, and SDG 8 & 13 of decent work & economic growth, and climate action respectively. He is particularly passionate about developmental issues in emerging economies and Africa; especially among the sub-Saharan African countries. He has crossed over 50 peer-reviewed scientific publications including articles and book chapters. Some of his research work have featured in publication channels with top and leading publication forum rating including; Applied Energy, Sustainable Development, Energy Economics, Journal of Cleaner Production, Environmental Impact Assessment Reviews, International Journal of Sustainable Development & World Ecology, Sustainable Energy Technologies & Assessment, Energy & Environment, and Journal of Economic Structures among others. He speaks English, Turkish, Yoruba, and recently hopes to add Finnish & Swedish to his spoken languages.
