Giovanna Pinilla De La Cruz

Researcher (D.Sc.) at the School of Management, University of Vaasa. Currently working on clean hydrogen related projects including eSAF, green ammonia, and e‑methane. Previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher, combining roles as project leader and researcher in regional development initiatives focused on enhancing flexibility in regional energy systems and developing a regional clean hydrogen ecosystem. Doctoral degree in Sciences from the University of Vaasa and a Master of Engineering (Dist.) from the University of Sheffield, UK. Pedagogical studies at the University of Turku (25 ECTs). Research interest are related to public-private collaboration, ecosystems and market shaping in clean hydrogen and renewable energy. Publications in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Cleaner Production, Sustainable Development, International Journal of Energy Sector Management, Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing, and Focus Localis.
