Hack the Happiness is an in-person hackathon. All students, regardless of your field of study, are invited to the University of Vaasa’s Technobothnia to take part in this challenge.

The challenge of this hackathon is related to a very important and topical issue: How can technology be used to improve students’ mental health and increase well-being? All of the VME technologies are at your disposal; VR / AR technology, eye tracking equipment, the possibility of game programming, robots… only the sky is the limit in brainstorming!

All students in the area are welcome to come up with ideas to help improve future student life on and off campus.

A few examples of solutions are:

  • brainstorming solutions to increase social life through technology
  • brainstorming distance learning to a new level
  • solutions for holistic well-being and/or a healthy diet
  • brainstorming escape room problems for future teaching methods

Although the event is a competition with prizes, the biggest prize is doing it together, brainstorming and getting to know new people and technology. Everyone needs joy, light and fun in life now, and that’s what Hack the Happiness is all about!

Registration is now open. There are a limited number of places due to the physical nature of the event.
