The University of Vaasa aims to return to contact teaching in the autumn

Following official restrictions and keeping public health security above all else, the University of Vaasa aims to return to contact teaching in the autumn.

On-campus teaching will be given in small groups in the autumn. Teaching arrangements will be as safe as possible.

Lectures for large groups of students will still be organised as distance learning. In the implementation of teaching, we will pay special attention to new students starting in autumn 2021 and students who began their studies in autumn 2020, but in principle, small-group teaching for all students will be on campus.

Our goal is to open the campus in a controlled way. The reading rooms, the academic library Tritonia and the campus restaurants will open with security in mind in the autumn.

The scope of teaching and other campus activities for the autumn term will be guided by the general epidemic situation and the safety and space restrictions in effect. The university contingency group outlines actions based on the assessment of the authorities. Regular information on the situation will be given whenever things progress or restrictions and guidelines change.
