LuoNa – Natural Support for Life

The Project objectives for LuoNa-Natural support for life is the development of new Green Care service models in Ostrobothnia and Central Ostrobothnia, based on the health promoting effects of nature based activities.

  • Strengthening co-operation between customers and service providers
  • Documenting the effectiveness of Green Care services

Green Care service models are developed in workshops carried out in different operating environments (forest areas, water areas and archipelago, horse stables, gardens, farms, service units) in close collaboration with local entrepreneurs and a variety of customer organizations. The best operating models are published as commonly used service models.

The project is implemented by the University of Vaasa/ InnoLab (coordinator) in cooperation with Centria University of Applied Sciences, Central Ostrobothnia Education Group (Kpedu) and Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke). The project is funded by the Leader groups Aktion Österbotten, the YHYRES Development Association and Pirityinen, and the Keskitie Foundation.
