My job is to promote the ethical goals of the University of Vaasa and to facilitate the integration of responsibility into all of its activities.

This could also be of interest to you. The University of Vaasa has calculated its annual carbon footprint since 2019. The calculation is used to identify energy-saving and emission-reduction needs and opportunities. In 2021, the University of Vaasa's carbon footprint was estimated to be 882 tonnes of carbon dioxide. It was made up of the following components: real estate 211,331 kg CO2-eq (24%), waste and sanitation 61,819 kg CO2-eq (7%), procurement 531,597 kg CO2-eq (60%), travel 26,151 24,597 kg CO2-eq (3%).(3%), fleet 1,360 kg CO2-eq (0.2%), library 23,430 kg CO2-eq (3%), laboratories 1,309 kg CO2-eq (0.1%), and catering and student and staff lunches 24,597 kg CO2-eq (3%).
