Tommi Lehtonen
Research Director
Fabriikki F331

I specialise in ethics, social philosophy, and the philosophy of science. My research topics include decision-making and choice behaviour, management ethics and values, and sustainable development. I have published widely in philosophical and social scientific journals.
From 2025 to 2028, I am involved in an international research project to develop genetically modified plant species for biofuel production (ASAP: The Alliance for Socially Acceptable and Actionable Plants). I examine the acceptability and ethical implications of genetically modified plants and of the biofuels produced from them.
I am the coordinator of the InnoLab research platform at the University of Vaasa.
