Professor Panu Kalmi appointed to OECD expert group

Professor of Economics Panu Kalmi from the University of Vaasa has been appointed to the OECD/INFE Research Advisory Group for the 2025–2026 term. INFE (International Network on Financial Education) is an international network of public authorities operating under the OECD, with the goal of improving financial literacy across countries. Finland is also represented in the network.

The multidisciplinary expert group is tasked with providing research-based recommendations for the development of financial literacy. It guides the OECD’s research activities and offers expert input on, among other things, the implementation of surveys measuring adult financial literacy, the financial literacy component of the PISA study, and the evaluation of the effectiveness of education.
