Major part of the people who have been informed to have coronavirus have been young adults of which the majority are living in Vaasa. Vaasa Hospital District will now remind all the students that you should not enter the main entrance when coming to the coronavirus test.

Coronavirus testing site for students is behind the hospital entrance, in the Accident and Emergency (A&E) parking area

In recent days, it has become clear that students, in particular, are unaware of the location of the coronavirus testing site in the Vaasa Central Hospital area. The hospital would like to remind you of the right route to the test area. At Vaasa Central Hospital, coronavirus tests are taken in the parking area in front of the hospital's Accident and Emergency (A&E) department.

Access to the area is via the street and can be reached on foot, by bicycle or by car. Turn from Hietalahdenkatu into Sanmarkinkatu, which is located between the indoor swimming hall and the hospital area. On Sanmarkinkatu, follow the signs to the A&E department and turn right. The location of the coronavirus testing site is displayed in the A&E parking area.

Use face mask in other matters when entering hospital

If you are coming to the central hospital in other matters, we ask you to use face mask (Att! You shouldn’t come in to the hospital when taking corona virus test – tests are taken mainly outside, just outside the emergency unit).
