The 2023 Wolpertinger Annual Conference will be organised at the University of Vaasa from 30 August to 2 September. This is the annual meeting of the Wolpertinger Club (The European Association of Teachers of Banking and Finance), which takes place in a different country every year. This year the conference is hosted by the School of Accounting and Finance at the University of Vaasa.

The scope of the 2023 conference has been extended from banks, financial institutions and economics of financial systems to management, accounting and finance more broadly, in order to emphasise the potential of interdisciplinary research to address the world's grand challenges.

The conference will start with an evening reception on 30 August and continue with the conference sessions on 31 August and 1 September. On Saturday 2 September, the conference will organise a social event for participants.

The main organisers of this year's conference are Timothy King, Professor of Finance at the University of Vaasa and Jonathan Williams, Professor of Finance at the University of Surrey.
