How can I donate?

The University of Vaasa Foundation accepts donations, which it then awards as grants and subsidies to the university’s students and researchers for, amongst other things, the preparation of final-year projects (pro gradu and diploma theses) and doctoral theses, or for other research work and projects. The Foundation’s activities are managed by its Board and Council.

Private individuals can support the Foundation’s activities by making a donation or leaving a bequest to the Foundation. Donations can be made to existing funds, or it is also possible to establish a named fund. Donations are distributed as grants to the field of study or other cause specified by the donor.

Companies and organisations can also make donations via the University Foundation to support the activities of the University of Vaasa. Donations made by organisations and companies ranging from 850 to 50,000 euros are tax-deductible (this does not apply to general partnerships or limited partnerships).

Donating is straightforward. The donation form is available from the Foundation’s representative or can be downloaded from this page. The donor should submit the completed donation form to the foundation and pay the donation amount into the foundation’s bank account: FI23 1544 3000 0993 12.

For further information on donations and wills, please contact the Foundation’s representative, Ilpo Ojala.
