Supporting the University of Vaasa since 1961

The University of Vaasa Foundation (formerly the Vaasa School of Economics Foundation) was established in 1961. The Foundation provides financial support for the development and expansion of the University of Vaasa,  supports basic and applied research carried out at the university through research grants, and awards grants and financial assistance to students and staff at the University of Vaasa.

The University Foundation accepts donations from companies, public organisations and associations, as well as from private individuals (e.g. anniversary and bequest donations) to support research and education carried out at the University of Vaasa.

The University of Vaasa is an international, business-oriented and multidisciplinary research and education university that focuses on sustainable business, energy and society. The University’s priority areas are the energy transition and technology, business and management, and governance and society.

Through our multidisciplinary academic units and research platforms, we tackle complex societal challenges by combining expertise in business, technology and governance.
