The Sustainable Industry Ecosystem (SIE) project aims at supporting Green and Sustainable Digital Transformation of Finnish manufacturing SMEs. We link existing ecosystems and pilot lines, integrate digital platforms and DIHs, and enrich previous results in the domain of Industry 4.0 with innovative green and digital applications.

The scaling up of technologies is supported by the networking of pilot lines with transparent and common access policy and toolsets for realising green and digital product-service solutions cross-sector.

The project will engage the Finnish research, development and innovation community, enhancing it with strong international collaboration aiming to promote knowledge-driven green and digital innovation, and release the full potential of macro-regional collaboration. Currently, the project has determined what skills and competencies are projected to be in demand within the EU, particularly within Finland, within the next 5 to 10 years and are in the process of designing courses for life-long learners to support professionals in remaining current within their field.
