Amir-Mohammad Shamekhi is a postdoctoral researcher in the University of Vaasa. His research area includes:

  • Engine Control System Design
  • Control Theory
  • Machine Learning
  • Control-Oriented Modeling
  • Noise and Vibration
  • Condition-based Monitoring and Fault Diagnosis.

So far, he has published numerous articles in some prestigious journals. He has also authored a book on Engine Control System Design in CRC Press (Taylor & Francis).

During his time in the University of Vaasa, he has participated in several high-impact projects in cooperation with industry, such as:

  • CPT (in the advanced combustion engine control sections)
  • Silent Engine (in the NVH simulation and control sections)
  • DAZE (in the fault diagnosis sections).

He is now the leader of the Control sub-team in the Efficient Powertrain Solution (EPS) team under the supervision of Prof. Maciej Mikulski. He also teaches Engine Control in the Master's program in Energy technology discipline in the School of Technology and Innovations.
