Introduction

Minna Martikainen is the President (Rector) of the University of Vaasa and holds a Doctorate in Economics and Business Administration. She assumed her role as Rector in 2023, having previously served as Vice Rector for Research at the University of Vaasa. Prior to this, she held leadership and professorial positions at Hanken School of Economics, Aalto University, and LUT University. Her academic expertise focuses on accounting, finance, corporate growth, and corporate governance. In addition to her academic career, she has extensive experience in board and advisory roles within the private sector.
