Professor Heidi Kuusniemi has received the University of Vaasa Science Communication Award. In addition, the University of Vaasa granted two honorary mentions for excellent science communication to professors Miadreza Shafie-khah and Sami Vähämaa. The University also granted the University of Vaasa Innovation Award for the first time in its history. It was given to professor Mohammed Elmusrati and project researcher Mahmoud Elsanhoury.
