The University of Vaasa is known for its close links with the working life, and our cooperation with the business world is diverse and mutually beneficial. A good example of this is our students, many of whom are working on a thesis or dissertation for a company or organisation on the verge of graduation. Working with a company brings meaning and motivation to the work, but also, for example, time pressures. Working on a thesis often opens doors to a company and may even lead to a permanent job. Experience also makes students a highly desirable workforce in a wide range of sectors.
