– As a member of the committee, I will gain new perspectives on the current state, development and future of the work of financial management professionals in the United States and globally. In addition, the appointment could bring new opportunities cooperate in research and education, says Järvenpää.
Järvenpää thinks that the appointment was influenced by his diverse research work and collaboration with Dr Kip Krumwiede, the Director of Research at IMA. Järvenpää´s main research interests include the work of financial administration and accounting professionals and its development to support management. In addition, he has studied the development and application of innovations in management accounting. Krumwiede, IMA's Director of Research, is also well-known at the University of Vaasa, as he is involved in our new research project.
