The intensive course consists of 5 lessons, delivered either online or on campus, with a total workload of 54 hours. The first IASI group begins in August (full schedule below). Additional IASI courses will be available throughout the academic year, starting in September, and you can register for these once you arrive in Vaasa.
Content
You will build written and spoken academic communication skills, such as analysing, commenting, presenting, and summarising. Through group work, you will practice using key interaction skills, including constructive feedback. You will learn to apply referencing practices in accordance with the university’s writing guidelines. You will also evaluate the use of AI applications in academic contexts from an ethical perspective.
