Finance students from the University of Vaasa won Inderes’ analysis competition – begin a year long coverage of the Inderes share
A three-member team consisting of finance students from the University of Vaasa has won the Student Coverage competition organized by Inderes and has begun a year-long analysis coverage of the Inderes share. The winning team, consisting of Tino Korjala, Matias Sainio and Joonas Sjöblom, has been selected to produce independent and publicly available analysis of the Inderes share for the next 12 months. The team’s initiation report for the coverage is openly available on the Inderes service.
Tuulikki Rautiainen, Inderes’ Head of People and a member of the jury, states that the University of Vaasa team stood out with strong analytical skills, clear presentation, and the courage to try new perspectives. According to Inderes, the level of applicants was high, and even the competition process itself received praise for its educational value.
Inderes’ CEO Mikael Rautanen emphasizes that Student Coverage competition increases the company’s transparency for investors and offers students a valuable way to learn about capital markets in practice. The total compensation for the team is 10,000 euros, and the work can be integrated into their studies.
For the students, winning the competition represents significant recognition and valuable hands-on experience in analytical work. The Inderes Student Coverage competition is designed to open doors to the financial sector for young people, and the newly launched second season offers the University of Vaasa team a visible and responsible role at the heart of the Finnish analysis community.
- The work itself was extremely educational. This is not an ordinary trainee program, as the public nature of the analysis also sets certain quality requirements. We therefore aimed to keep our output as high-quality as possible, says Matias Sainio from the university's team.
