Opening ceremony of the academic year

The opening ceremony of the academic year at the University of Vaasa will be held on 1 September 2025, at 2:15 PM in the Levón Auditorium.

The opening ceremony will begin with a grand procession led by the Rector. Following the procession, the ceremony will feature the Rector’s speech outlining the upcoming academic year, as well as a greeting from the Student Union. After the formal program, the procession will guide the audience to raise a glass of bubbly and to catch up with each other.
