How can investors, companies and policymakers gain a reliable and comparable picture of both financial performance and sustainability? In his lecture, Sustainability and Reporting, Erkki Liikanen will discuss the growing role of international accounting and sustainability standards and examine how the global and European approaches to corporate reporting are developing.

About the speaker

 Erkki Liikanen is the Chair of the IFRS Foundation Trustees. His distinguished career includes serving as Governor of the Bank of Finland, a member of the Governing Council of the European Central Bank, Finland’s Governor at the International Monetary Fund, a European Commissioner and Finland’s Minister of Finance.

Liikanen has chaired the IFRS Foundation Trustees since 2018. In this role, he oversees the Foundation’s governance and strategy and the work of its accounting and sustainability standard-setting boards.
