Mikael Ehrs

"Studies are Geared to Function Wherever the Students Go" Mikael Ehrs' first Master's degree was in macroeconomics. To broaden his perspective on business, he decided to take part in the Master's Programme in Industrial Management. The programme provided him with a more hands-on approach to business studies, which he found fascinating.

Mikael began his career during his studies, working as a salesperson for an industrial company that focused on the forest industry. Currently, he is working as a project researcher at the University, concentrating on Lean Production consulting for local companies. He is also considering furthering his education to a PhD, greatly satisfied with the quality of the studies offered by the University of Vaasa.

"The Master's Programme in Industrial Management provides excellent courses which are deeply rooted in local industrial life, providing not only theory but also a chance to see our studies in practice. The professors are an intelligent bunch who value internationality more than most. The natural mix of international and Finnish students also gives you better-than-average chances of making friends from around the world or from that freezing little country that we all love – Finland."
