Bachelor's programme in Business Administration
Our Bachelor’s Programme in Business Administration is a holistic, full-time, three-year programme (180 ECTS), delivered on-site at the University of Vaasa, Finland’s largest educator of business studies. It prepares you to continue your studies directly at Master’s level (3+2 years). You will study in an international environment, gaining expertise in management, marketing, international business, finance, accounting and industrial management, while tailoring your studies through specialization modules and electives.
You will learn to understand companies, their organization and their business environments from a viewpoint that integrates sustainable business, energy and society. Your studies include core business subjects, interdisciplinary modules, international exchange opportunities, and internships, ensuring both theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
At the beginning of your studies, you will focus on building your academic and digital skills alongside introductory business courses. Second and third year offer major and specialisation studies, such as mandatory subject-specific studies, profiling modules and specialisation electives. You can choose two profiling modules of Enterprise Digitalisation, Digital Economy, Artifical Intelligence and Machine Learning, Energy Transition or Branding in Global Media Scapes. You can also specialize in Industrial Management, International Business, Marketing or Accounting and Finance before your Master's studies.
In the third year of the programme, you will complete the bachelor’s thesis. Additionally, you will develop communication and language skills, with international students reaching B1-level Finnish to support career opportunities in Finland.
The degree primarily provides you with excellent prerequisites to continue your studies at the Master's level. In addition, a BBA degree opens doors to various expert and development positions both in Finland and internationally.
