Host a conference or training day at the campus
We have several spaces for a variety of needs, from lecture rooms to auditoria, all equipped with modern technology and hybrid learning. We have four auditoria which can seat 90–311 people. Available are also several lecture rooms which seat 10–120 people. Our study environment consists of several cosy, inviting and adaptable spaces. In addition, we also have lobbies that are perfect for exhibitions or small conventions.
After a seminar or a training day, you can unwind in the sauna with a beautiful sea view. It includes a pleasant sitting area, a well-equipped kitchen and a meeting room for approximately 25 people.

The renovated Tervahovi has four modern auditoriums, ideal for events and conferences for 90-395 people. The auditoriums are well-equipped and provide a great setting for both formal events and more relaxed socialising. You can also hire a lounge and organise a breakfast or lunch event in conjunction with your conference.

Additional services, including security, cleaning, and IT support, are available upon request for an extra fee and can be customised to suit the specific needs of your event or facility use.
Cancellation and payment terms
A reservation must be cancelled no later than 10 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays) before the rental period begins. Cancellations made later will be charged a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the total rental fee. If payment has already been made, the remaining 50% will be refunded.
All pricing excludes VAT.
Getting to the campus
The visiting address of the University of Vaasa is Wolffintie 32, 65200 Vaasa.
Walking: Walking from the city centre takes approximately 15 minutes.
By bus: To arrive by bus, take the bus no. 1, 2 or 4. Timetables and routes (digitransit.fi)

Getting around on campus
The information desks are located in the lobby of Ankkuri (Yliopistonranta 7), and the lobby of Fabriikki (Yliopistonranta 10).
Opening hours
- Tervahovi on weekdays at 8.00 – 21.00, sat. 12.00 – 16.00, sun. closed
- Doors to Mathilda lobby close at 18.00 on weekdays and are closed on the weekends
- Please notice opening hours on Exam-days, public holidays and holiday seasons
- Fabriikki on weekdays at 8.00 – 18.00, closed on weekends
- Ankkuri on weekdays at 8.00 – 18.00, closed on weekends

Parking on campus
Parking areas are indicated with a P. There are places for students and guests near Tervahovi, Technobothnia and Fabriikki. Staff parking is marked separately. There are barrier-free parking places near the entrances, marked with a logo on the map.
In addition to fixed bike parks, there are loose bike racks near all buildings. The location of bike racks may vary depending on the situation.
You need a permit to park in the university car parks within the working hours. There are no parking restrictions after 16:00. Visitors can get a temporary parking permit from the information desks.
General information on parking on campus
- Keep the emergency access roads and logistics areas free. Do not park on a parking spot for the disabled (marked on the map with the logo), unless you have a permit for that.
- Parking against these instructions will lead to a ticket from the city parking enforcement officers. The person responsible is primarily the owner of the car.
- Parking places other than those on the campus are not managed by the University of Vaasa. You can park on these spots according to the traffic signs. The university is not in charge of the usage of these parking spots.
