University Chaplain
A university chaplain who works for both the University of Vaasa and the Vaasa University of Applied Sciences supports students and staff on the Palosaari campus.
When life is tough or you otherwise need someone to talk to, do not hesitate to contact the university chaplain – regardless of your religious or spiritual background.

Meetings on the Palosaari campus
You’re welcome to talk with the university chaplain in various life situations, such as:
- when facing challenges in relationships
- in times of grief or crisis
- during stressful periods in your studies or work
- when struggling with wellbeing or feeling close to burnout
- when reflecting on life’s big questions or spiritual matters.
The university chaplain will be available starting from September 2nd:
- On Tuesdays 13.00–15.00 in the room B115 in Tervahovi building
- On Wednesdays 13.00–15.00 in WA1128 at VAMK (Wolffintie 30)
You can also schedule a confidential discussion on campus, at the church premises or elsewhere. You can also arrange a meeting with the chaplain via Zoom or Teams.
