When Should You Use Career Services?
It is a good idea to make use of Career Services already during your studies, as career planning begins long before graduation. The earlier you identify your strengths, interests, and career opportunities, the easier it will be to make informed choices regarding your studies, internships, and job applications.
What Happens in Career Counselling?
Career counselling provides an opportunity to discuss your goals, strengths, and future plans confidentially with a career counsellor. During the sessions, you can explore topics such as career options, the connection between studies and working life, job searching, and identifying your skills and competencies. The aim is to help you make suitable study and career choices and strengthen your readiness for the transition into working life.
What Can Students Gain from Career Services?
Career Services offer support for career planning, job searching, and developing professional skills. Services include career counselling, CV and cover letter guidance, interview practice, information about job and internship opportunities, and networking events. Career Services help you recognize your strengths and competencies and find direction for both your studies and future career.
You do not need to know exactly what you want to do after graduation before seeking career counselling. Having questions, ideas, or reflections about your future is enough. A career counsellor can help you explore your options, clarify your goals, and identify the next steps toward your career aspirations.
