Heini Pensar

Project researcher in the LEADIS team, responsible research of digital workplaces and service providers. The focus area of my doctoral research work is remote work, and more specifically Work-Life-Balance in remote work. I am also a responsible project manager at VME Interaction Design Environment located in the multi-domain laboratory Technobotnia, Vaasa. The aim of the lab is to provide a low-treshold environment for students and companies to develop future user interfaces (incl. eye tracking, AR/VR technology).

I have a long backgound in various leadership roles, having managed remote and hybrid teams and projects in international context. My practical experience incudes Profit & Loss responsibility, strategy deployment, people leadership, change management and re-organization. Apart from leadership work I have experience in management consulting & process development and automation (Robotic Process Automation & Machine learning). Most of my roles have included responsibilities in sales and in finance.
Besides my studies I also do training & consulting assignments. 
I use Finnish, Swedish and English both at work and at home.

I am one kind of project leader at home, too since I am a mother of 5 young children, of which the smallest ones are twins. Whenever I find the time, I like to go for a long run, play the piano, go horde-back riding or simply read a great book.
