Phuong Dang

Phuong (Tracy) Dang is a Doctoral Student in the Strategic Business Development (SBD) Research Group at the School of Management, University of Vaasa, Finland. Her research is situated within the legitimacy-as-a-perception theoretical lens, focusing on individual perceptions and emerging technology adoption in strategy and entrepreneurship areas. Specifically, she examines how social actors evaluate the legitimacy of novel and contested phenomena, including cryptocurrency adoption in developing-country contexts, as well as how migrant entrepreneurs establish legitimacy within host-country environments.
Grounded in sociological perspectives on legitimacy, her research primarily employs qualitative methodologies, including inductive content analysis and the Gioia's methodology. Her research activities can be found in her scholar profile at:
