I have worked as a Professor of Business Tax Law in Vaasa since 2013.

I´m responsible for the tax law studies sharing the teaching tasks on some courses with a few high level tax experts.

Our research group is called Business Law and Information . We concentrate on different aspects on legal information and knowledge in order to help the decision making on various economic issues. I´m the head of the research group.

I have concentrated in my own reserch on direct taxation of corporations, shareholders and enterpreneurs. The recent topics have been on administrative sanctions in corporate taxation, the tax issues on transferring a company to a descendant and company law in tax law interpretation, interest deduction and its limitations in business taxation, interpretation of Supreme Administrative Court  decisions in Tax Law, the real-time business taxation, the tax issues related to the change of teh form of enterprise and the content of the tax law related information .

I have focused my research and teaching in international taxation on publications in EATLP (European Association of Tax Law Professors) congress series of IBFD and courses in English in both Masaryk University in Czech and Vaasa University. I have given lectures also in other universities; for example Copenhagen Business School 2019.

I have worked as the editor of the Finnish tax law journal "Verotus" since 2016. I was the chair of the Central Tax Board in Finland in term 2015-2019.

I am Finnish member in EATLP Academic Committee from 2020 on and a vice member in the Nordic Tax Reasearch Council in term 2019-2021.
