Expert and Support Roles
Join us in building the university of the future. In support services, we do work that truly matters. Working in expert and support roles at the university means making an impact—not just on processes, but on society as a whole. Here, you’ll be part of a knowledgeable and multidisciplinary work community where everyone’s contribution is valued.
The university’s success is built on research, teaching, and societal impact, as well as on a strong team of experts in support services and affiliated institutions. Their work ensures smooth daily operations and the achievement of strategic goals. At the University of Vaasa, around 200 professionals—managers, specialists, and assistants—work in expert and support roles, providing services to the entire university community.
Examples of support functions:
- Human Resources ensures that skilled people find their way to the university and thrive in their work.
- Financial Administration takes care of the responsible use of resources and supports decision-making.
- IT Services enable a smooth digital everyday life and develop future solutions.
