Renting of facilities

We are renewing our campus as an attractive and carbon-neutral meeting place, which limits the amount of rental facilities available. The renovation will be completed next year, after which we will again have modern facilities to rent.

Arrange a meeting or an event at the campus

We offer modern and stylish facilities for rent for diverse meeting, presentation or training purposes at Palosaari, near Vaasa city centre. The campus area combines a seaside park, modern architecture and an old industrial milieu in a unique way.

A unique environment

The surroundings and buildings of the campus area are truly unique: the same area houses the historic, old red-bricked cotton factory and fresh, bright new buildings. The oldest part, Fabriikki, was built when the northernmost cotton mill was founded here in 1856.

The administrative building Konttori and the picturesque wooden residences of the old cotton mill workers ”Puuvillatalot” all breathe history. The new buildings Tervahovi and Luotsi designed by Käpy and Simo Paavilainen were completed in 1994. The new constructions also include the Tritonia library and Domus Bothnica, the student union house.

The Science Library Tritonia moved to new premises in the Luotsi building in 2022 and the old library premises were renovated into a modern office building Ankkuri.

Premises for many purposes

We have several spaces for a variety of needs, from lecture rooms to auditoria, all equipped with modern technology. We have four auditoria which can seat 90–311 people. Available are also several lecture rooms which seat 10–120 people. Our study environment consists of several cosy, inviting and adaptable spaces. In addition, we also have lobbies that are perfect for exhibitions or small conventions.

After a seminar or a training day, you can unwind in the sauna with a beautiful sea view. It includes a pleasant sitting area, a well-equipped kitchen and a meeting room for approximately 25 people.
