Fatimoh Olayinka Balogun is an academic and researcher with a focus on chemical engineering and energy technology. She is a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Vaasa, Finland.
Her research interest is centered around fuel flexible low temperature combustion concepts using low reactivity fuel with high reactivity fuel/chemicals as ignition source/improver, while using global reactivity and reactivity gradient (stratification) concept as methodology. This involves fuel blending, blends physico-chemical analytics, storage stability testing at different temperature using spectroscopy methods. This also include experimental ignition/combustion studies using constant volume combustion chamber, and also 0-1D simulations with chemical kinetic modelling using GT-power. Ultimately the use of machine learning methods in finding correlations between fuel blends properties, chemical structure and the reactivity in LTC concept for recognising new fuel blends quality and combustion performance for multifuel IC engines. Her secondary interest involves fuel blend safe handling and material compatibility.
Fatimoh Olayinka Balogun is also a member of the Fuel team, Efficient Power Train Solutions (EPS) research group, at the University of Vaasa. For more detailed information on her work and contributions, please refer to her publications and research profile.
