General safety instructions – protect your health and the health of others

Let's take care of our own and each other's health safety, so please come to campus only if you are healthy! You can wear a face mask on campus if you want to.

Teaching

We provide quality education on campus and in part also remotely. The first- and second-year courses in the bachelor’s programmes will be held primarily on campus. Master’s studies are planned flexibly according to the needs of our students.

Flexible multi-location working

In multi-location working, members of the university staff work 1–5 days a week on campus. More detailed instructions for personnel are available from the intranet (requires identification).

General information about the virus situation

The most updated information related to the Covid-19 situation in Finland can be found from Finnish institute for health and welfare (THL). Finnish Government recommendations are also available. Information about the virus is also available at World Health Organisation (WHO).

Crisis management team

The University of Vaasa crisis management team is led by the rector and consists of rector, vice rector, security manager, finance director, HR director, legal director and director of marketing and communications. The team follows the Covid-19 situation actively and keeps close contacts with other universities and the authorities. The teams decisions follow authorities' assessments.
