Language cooperation in higher education in Vaasa

Students at the universities in Vaasa have the possibility to attend common language courses. The universities in Vaasa are: Hanken School of Economics, Vamk University of Applied Sciences, Novia University of Applied Sciences, Åbo Akademi University, University of Helsinki (Vaasa unit) and University of Vaasa.

Autumn 2026

KRAN1011-3003 French 1 (3 op, online)

The course will be held online via Zoom from 7 September to 8 October. Teaching will take place on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 14.00 to 16.00.

It might take a while to get your study points after a course. Students from VAMK and ÅA will get their study records sent automatically to their universities. For the other universities (Hanken, Novia, HY), students will get their study records sent to them, and they will then have to take the study records to their own university's student administration office for registration.

What is Linguavaasa?

Linguavaasa is the Vaasa higher education consortium's language cooperation, to which all universities and universities of applied sciences in Vaasa belong: Hanken, University of Helsinki (Vaasa unit), Novia, University of Vaasa, Vamk and Åbo Akademi University.

For students Linguavaasa organizes common language courses and language events. For language teachers Linguavaasa offers education days and possibilities to network.
