The University of Vaasa expands its educational offering with three new master’s programmes that respond to the rapidly evolving competence needs of society and working life. The new programmes, Preparedness and Resilience, Artificial Intelligence for Accounting and Finance, and Artificial Intelligence and Analytics, will begin in autumn 2026. They provide students with up‑to‑date expertise, international perspectives, and strong career opportunities. The application period for the new programmes is open 2-31 March 2026.
The University of Vaasa saw a record number of graduates with a master’s degree in 2025. The increasing number of graduates reflects the strong attractiveness of the university’s programmes and the smooth progress of studies. The university’s efficient education ensures that students advance well in their studies and graduate on time, which is also essential in meeting Finland’s growing need for skilled professionals.
The University of Vaasa hosted the Erasmus Mundus Smart Cities and Communities (SMACCs) Winter School from 12–16 January 2026, bringing together first- and second‑year students as well as faculty members from the programme’s partner universities across Europe.
