U.S. companies are reporting on cybersecurity in greater detail, yet stock market reactions remain muted. A new study by the University of Vaasa and Aalto University shows that mandatory cybersecurity disclosure does not prompt reactions from investors or stock analysts. Instead, the main benefits appear to materialise within firms themselves.
University of Vaasa opened a European Office in Brussels on 21 April 2026, bringing the University closer to the institutions, networks and partners shaping Europe’s future. The inauguration brought together representatives from European institutions, research organisations, industry, regional networks and higher education partnerships. The message running through the afternoon was both ambitious and practical: if Europe wants to remain competitive, secure and resilient, it needs stronger connections between universities, companies, cities, regions and policymakers.
University of Vaasa is opening a European office in Brussels to strengthen collaboration with European partners and increase its visibility in research and innovation. An opening event will be held on Tuesday, 21 April.
