University of Vaasa courses and hospitality top of the class in Finland

University of Vaasa and VAMK, Vaasa University of Applied Sciences excelled in the evaluation of the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme where students and staff gave feedback on their exchange experiences. The two Vaasa higher education institutions received top marks on course content from the incoming exchange students and visiting staff gave praise to the overall experience of the exchange from practical issues to hospitality.

In addition the exchange students of the University gave positive feedback on the teaching of the University and outgoing exchange students regarded the process of the exchange to be well organised. In 2015 the University of Vaasa welcomed 203 incoming exchange students and 255 students left for an exchange.

In a European wide evaluation Finland was recognised as the country where HEIs excel in academic mentoring and best answer the queries of incoming students. Outgoing students appreciate the fact that Finnish HEIs are the most punctual in paying the grants for the outgoing students on time.

Feedback was asked from incoming students and staff, who did their exchange in Finland during academic year 2014/15. Feedback was received from all HEIs as well as outgoing students and staff. The results were presented by the national agency CIMO, Centre for International Mobility.
