Graduate School granted several scholarships
The Graduate School of the University of Vaasa has granted several scholarships, donated by Evald and Hilda Nissi Foundation and Vaasa University Foundation.
Six scholarships (22 000 €) donated by the Evald and Hilda Nissi Foundation: Beatrice Obule-Abila, Waheed Akbar Bhatti, Outi Lundahl, Paula Makkonen, Jari-Mikko Meriläinen and Matti Vaattovaara.
Nissi Foundation grants scholarships for students engaging in commercial studies and promotion of commercial expertise in the Vaasa region.
Three scholarships (22 000 €) donated by Vaasa University Foundation: Hafiz Haq, Harri Salovaara and Omid Palizban. Vaasa University Foundation supports the development of the University of Vaasa as well as University’s scientific research and teaching.
Graduate school also granted doctoral student positions to Agnieszka Chwialkowska, Kaisu Kanstrén, Hanna-Kaisa Pernaa, Anni Rajala, Seyed Mahdi Hamidi Shandiz, Khuram Shahzad and Jari-Pekka Välimaa. These two-year positions start at 1.8.2015.
Last year 26 new doctors graduated in the fields of humanities, administrative sciences, business studies and technology.
