Dissertation: Next generation contracts: A paradigm shift

Helena Haapio explores how business contracts can be developed to be more usable and useful for business.

Haapio's work provides a basis for generating new kind of contracts. Her research identifies ways to think differently and depart from the traditional path by using perspectives, principles and tools of proactive law and design science as signposts.

The public examination of Haapio’s doctoral dissertation “Next Generation Contracts: A Paradigm Shift” will be on Friday 29 November at 12 o’clock in Auditorium Kurtén (Tervahovi). The field of the dissertation is business law.

Professors Marcus Norrgård (University of Helsinki) and Deana McDonagh (University of Illinois, USA) will act as Opponents and Professor Vesa Annola (University of Vaasa) as Custos. The public examination will be held in English.
