Background

I hold a doctoral degree (econ.) from the University of Vaasa (Finland) and MSc degree (philosophy) from the Universitat Autonòma de Barcelona (Spain).

I work as an Associate Professor (Tenure Track) in the School of Management at the University of Vaasa. I focus on strategic management, servitization, and digital transformation among technology companies.

Teaching

I teach in Master and MBA level courses. I am responsible for the courses "Business Development in Practice" and "Research Update in Strategic Management" in the EFMD-accredited program Strategic Business Development.

Research

My research expertise is related to a firm's strategic renewal. In particular, I study how established companies renew themselves under disrupted markets. I have published in a number of journals, including Technovation, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Service Management, and Research-Technology Management.
