Sayawu Yakubu Diaba, a dedicated member of the IEEE and a graduate student, hails from Suhum, Ghana. I hold a B.Eng. and an M.Sc. in Telecommunications Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana. Currently, I am actively pursuing a D.Sc. (Tech.) degree in Telecommunication Engineering at the esteemed University of Vaasa in Finland.
With an impressive professional background, I served as a Power Distribution Specialist for the Electricity Company of Ghana for a remarkable 13 years. During this tenure, I gained invaluable expertise in the field and contributed significantly to the company's operations. My research interests revolve around cutting-edge areas within the realm of smart grids. I delve into the innovative use of machine learning techniques to enhance the functionality of smart grids. I focus on developing robust cybersecurity algorithms tailored to smart grid SCADA networks. I am also engaged in comprehensive performance analysis of smart grids, striving to optimize their efficiency and reliability.
Beyond his core research pursuits, I maintain a deep passion for wireless communication and automation. These complementary fields augment my understanding of telecommunications engineering and broaden my perspective on technological advancements. With a dedication to the area, diverse expertise, and academic pursuits, I am contributing to the realm of engineering, particularly in the domains of smart grids, cyber security, and wireless communication.
