Transferring between MSc Business and Economics programmes

How to apply for an internal transfer between M. Sc. (Business and Economics) programmes

To apply, the student needs to make a freeform application (e.g. a motivation letter) explaining the reasons for wanting to transfer. The application is addressed to the Dean and returned to the study counselor by the end of April/November. The Dean decides on the matter after hearing the Head of the Programme. The available resources of the programme is taken into account in the selection. The number of transferred students is approximately 5-6 students per programme per academic year. In case several students apply, the decision is based on both quantitative and qualitative academic performance (the number of credits belonging to the curriculum of the Master’s programme multiplied by the GPA of these courses).The decision cannot be appealed. Please inquire about the possibility to apply for the transfer from your study counselor.

For a valid reason, M. Sc. (Technology) students can apply for an internal transfer to another M. Sc. (Technology) programme. The applicant needs to have a suitable study background for the new M. Sc. programme (e.g. Bachelor’s degree in the field or a Bachelor’s degree and higher education level studies in the field). In addition, the applicant needs to have completed advanced level studies with a minimum grade 3 in the programme they are applying for. The Head of the Programme reviews the transfer application. The decision is based on the academic performance of the applicant, as well as the available resources of the programme, in accordance with the anticipated demand for graduates in the field. In case several students apply, the decision is based on academic performance (amount of completed credits and grades).
